Lexicon Avenue / Best of 1998—2006

Today is a holiday for fans of true and oldschool deep, tech and tribal house—a two-and-a-half-hour mix of music from the guys better known in the world as Lexicon Avenue, but they also have half a dozen aliases with the coolest works (Mooncat, Echomen, Third Movement, Little Green Men, New Phunk Theory, Dub Structure, Time Design).

The central figure of all these acts is the British Chris Scott who, like many important musicians, although he started at the dawn of hardcore raves, always stuck to the house. “When I started making music with electronic equipment there were no courses that I knew of 85—92. You really had to learn it yourself. There was no internet. I read a lot of magazines at the time but they weren’t really focusing on house music in the early years.
